This site is a quick photo journal of three days we spent exploring the natural areas around St. Augustine, Florida.
Grab your binoculars and a seat in our Eurovan. In the following pages we'll show you where to stay, the good places to eat, and introduce you to some jumping off points for your own explorations of this truly beautiful area.
This site is intended for nature lovers, so we won't be reviewing the many tourist attractions located in downtown St. Augustine, other than to say that you can find lots lots of shopping and distractions for the kids about 5 minutes away from the beach and hotel where we will start our journey.
Here's our itinerary:
- Day One: We'll start at Vilano Beach overlooking the inlet, and show you what is available within walking distance of the hotel.
- Day Two: Then we'll spend the next day driving north along the ocean, discovering a variety of special nature spots.
- Day Three: On the last day of our trip, we'll drive south from the hotel to one of the nicest beaches in Florida, and a special surprise destination that will delight any nature lover.
